A former employee shares his experience, "I deemed it as an unfit work environment. Most of the employees at Gexpro pride themselves in never leaving and never getting a decent raise or promotion. The 7325 Denver Branch is the worst because they have "50 yr old mystery dust. A political system fixed within the branch to keep the employees that are not currently up to speed with the latest software in power. Most employees maintain terrible time management. Leaving extra work for any willing body, also the lowest in these politics bares the brunt. Even the people there for decades complain and find it hard to dismiss this "50 yr old mystery dust" that rumor has it, multiple people died from various cancers. If you have a great golf swing you'll do well."

Former Employee - Sales says

"Management is very bad. Rules and guidelines are not enforced. COVID-19 regulations are not being inforced. HR is clueless. Employees walk all over management. Every man for himself mentality. No one to turn to for help. The inventory is incredibly wrong. Not enough warehouse employees to get orders out in time. Salesman at times have to pull their own orders, cut wire, load trucks, and do other things that are not part of their job description. Under the current Management, I would be shocked if this Gexpro Branch is still there 2 years from now."

Former Employee - Anonymous Employee says

"Where to begin? Management and Leadership are a complete and utter joke. They have highly unqualified people in charge of making decisions that effect not only the company but others as well. Micro-management is key here. If you make any decision or actually do what your boss asked you to do, you are questioned why and your "understanding of your role" is questioned. Females in leadership roles apparently prefer having men work for them instead of females because the men will flirt and the women will work. Working for men? Just as bad. Females apparently aren't smart enough to make decisions or understand complex operations. Expect to work 50-60 hrs a week and then have to re-do all of your work because they didn't give clear expectations or decided that it shouldn't have been done that way in the first place. Again, leadership here is an absolute JOKE!!! Ladies... be sure to have your pageant hair and makeup ready everyday and dress like you're trying to impress your high school sweethearts because that is the mentality you are dealing with. Guys.... if you aren't part of the "good ole boys" clique... you might as well forget it. I've seen with my own eyes the racism and sexism of this company. Minorities were ridiculed (sometimes to their face) and were fired for no reason other than the managers didn't like them. And if you are in sales, good luck getting material because the company DOESN'T PAY THEIR BILLS. They have so many past due bills and credit holds that most suppliers will not sell to them."

Current Employee - Anonymous Employee says

"Poor training programs, CRM is basic at best, live the plan. Limited when you only have GE to sell and they do not perform. Inventory is lacking if you want sales growth."

says

"No raises in the Past 3 years. My branch manager changes our job positions and responsibilities daily. We have no Idea from day to day what is expected of us. She makes up policy as she goes along and there is no employee handbook to be found that actually lays out whether what she is telling us is correct or not. If I knew back then what I know now I would have not hired on here. The branch manager is useless."

Former Employee - Anonymous Employee says

"Make promises of promotions and don't follow through. Hire outside employees over moving long-time employees into new roles. Employees give and give and don't get anything in return. ("Be happy you have a job." - MGMT) Employees worked overtime for years and were never paid for it. (this has been fixed)"

says

"Lack of development opportunities. They say there are all these opportunities but they're not there. Raises are near impossible to get. As in, I worked there for several years getting paid under industry average, met all my performance metrics, and nothing. Long hours and after it all, all you get is a slap in the face. This leads to A LOT of disgruntled employees. There are a lot of people who have been there for a long time and are stuck in their ways but have lots of industry knowledge, and then there is the rest which high turn-over in lower and higher up positions, leading to a lot of knowledge loss. Lots of internal issues and drama. Management is not aligned with the needs of employees, likely because they are also overstretched and underpaid. When they are aware of problems, they overlook them because they don't have the bandwidth or desire to deal with them."

Current Employee - Sales says

"Serious issues with leadership at a majority of locatiions."

Current Employee - Sales says

"Seems as though sales strategy and focus changes yearly. For being part of a worldwide company it seems as though someone fell asleep at the wheel."

Current Employee - Anonymous Employee says

"poor management, lack of communication, they never fire the slackers"

Former Employee - Anonymous Employee says

"Office politics rampant. Company is run by salespeople for salespeople. Top management on down has their clique and if you're not in it there is no future for you."

warehouse manager (Former Employee) says

"Just don't. A company filled with empty promises. 11yrs down the drain because the company is scared to fire family members. Corporate is filled with crooked hacks.naeverything"

Kitter (Former Employee) says

"Gexpro is not a great place to work. They don't recognize the hard work or dedication there employees put in for the company. They make sure to make u feel unwantedCoworkers that careBad work enviroment"

Account Receivable Specialist (Former Employee) says

"Depressed place to work poor communication wise.... I would never work for Gexpro they less enjoyable part of the job was working alongside my colleagues and learning from them is nothing...."

Financial Analyst (Former Employee) says

"Just an average company if you want to be an average person. Mostly former GE employees"

Project Specialist (Current Employee) says

"I deemed it as an unfit work environment. Most of the employees pride themselves in never leaving and never getting a decent raise or promotion. The 7325 Denver Branch is the worst because they have "50 yr old mystery dust. Warehouse (Current Employee) says

"Poor management have poured over into an overall negative work culture, even affecting the culture on the warehouse floor. Nothing they do is "personal," "it's just business." So whether they lie or cheat a customer, or whether they lie or cheat an employee or temporary employee, as long as management gets their money, that's all they're concerned with. Work here at your own risk.Money is better than a lot of other places in PensacolaThe negative environment wears you down after working in it for a long time"

Warehouse/Materials Specialist (Former Employee) says

"Crud place i would never work for them again Consistent management issues , underhanded dealings Bad attitudes and general work like a dog and like it philosophyNoneManagers"

Warehouse Associate (Current Employee) says

"It could be a great place to work if it wasn't so backwards. The company offers good things, but the management is unorganized, inexperienced, and racist."

INSIDE SALES (Former Employee) says

"Does it appreciate the people who work there. They care more about the business, rather than the people who make it successful. I.e. everyone is replaceable."

Project Manager (Former Employee) says

"This is a company that silos employees, but pretends that we should all work together. Not a productive environment, and little to no promotions available unless you switch to a different department. 99% of people who work there have the mentality to punch in and punch out, and that's it."

Inside Sales Representative (Former Employee) says

"Leadership at the branch level was non-existent, anyone can be the BOSS. Asked multiple times for help or made suggestions to help me be better in my job but was always denied. The workload (order entry, customer interfacing and research) at this particular job nearly doubled in the last 18 months. Unfortunately it's not an "8-5 M-F" job but according to my former BOSS the position is very much an 8-5 job. Program Manager (?) Gexpro - JacksonvilleQuiet time after 5:00Difficult to stay motivated when the Boss leaves the office early daily, but as he's walking out reminds everyone that we need more sales."

Warehouse Laborer (Former Employee) says

"Sounded good at interview but little to no support from upper management, poor organization, promises never kept, protect lazy employees, favoritism, leadership was very cutthroat"

Account Manager (Former Employee) says

"Everyone does what they want to do. No compensation on a job well done. Everyone is treated the same. Same salary increase for everyone whether they do their job or not.Get away with anythingLack of management experience"

Branch Operations Manager (Former Employee) says

"Very little training provided. Put their managers in position to fail. If you disagree or have a different opinion from upper management you are discouraged from speaking your mind."

Account Manager (Current Employee) says

"Good work environment. No room for advancement in the Customer Financial Services department. Low end for compensation compared to other similar positions. Decent benefits"

Project Specialist (Former Employee) says

"The environment with Gexpro was out of my comfort zone. They deal with a lot with electricians and contractors. I did office work, but still had interactions with the people who came in. They used foul language along with other things and it just wasn't an environment I was comfortable in.decent benefitsrough interactions with other people"

Inside Sales Representative (Current Employee) says

"Would not recommend. Unorthodox ed company. Changes in policies and procedures take place too often. There is really no true direction on what is expected."

Mod Shop (Current Employee) says

"As the title says, the pay isn't great. There are no bonuses for warehouse or labor jobs. The annual raises are around 3% which is pennies when you're talking about the pay you receive. It is a very chill, laid back environment that can be fun at times. Management pumps you full of things you want to hear but hardly ever follows through."

Outside Sales (Former Employee) says

"No training to speak of, no management direction ( they all will forget about you as they are promoted...) Don't waste your time here."

Solar Sales(Orlando) says

"Great place to work though management/corporate have their issues they are trying to overcome."
